Race & Justice Youth Summit

The Race & Justice Youth Summit offers high-school-aged youth from the Puget Sound region the opportunity to explore faith and social justice. The faith-based program will bring together students across denominational and cultural lines to study the role of the church in the Civil Rights Movement.

Students will spend three Sundays worshiping at culturally diverse congregations in the Seattle area and study together during the Sunday School hour. During Spring Break, students will head to Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi to meet Civil Rights leaders and foot soldiers and hear their stories first-hand. Upon their return, students will work together on a service project within their church communities, involving other youth, and directly respond to what they've learned together in the South.
